Lamar University’s department of communication and media hosted a senior reception for graduating spring and summer students, May 9, in 127 Communication Building.
Graduating students included Stephanie Adeniji, Tré Sanchez, Delilah Benson, Zamiria Carrol, James Darden III, Bailey Doss, Isaac Duerksen, Shelby Green, Clarissa Hernandez, Isaac Herndon, Jala Jackson, Carter Johnson, Kiera Lee, Akira Mouton, Ashely Ramirez, Olive Rose, Kalvin Sparrow, Kalen Tresham and Taylor Thompson.
LU’s chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association's honor society, inducted their new member, Katie Bourgeois.
Family members of the graduates watched a compilation video of senior testimonials about their experiences in the comm department.
Refreshments and snacks were provided, along with Willie Carrierre who served as the D.J. for the event.
