LU no longer requiring masks on campus

In accordance with Governor Abbott's Executive Order GA 36, Lamar University will no longer require face masks or coverings to be worn on campus by any student, faculty, staff member, or guest.

Lamar University is committed to the health and safety of our campus community. The Student Health Center is offering free COVID-19 vaccines to all current students, faculty and staff. Appointments can be made online at lamar.edu/healthcenter. We highly encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity.

We also expect all parties to be respectful of those who elect to wear a mask or face covering as well as those who elect not to as their personal choice. Social distancing is encouraged where possible. At Lamar University we are stronger together, stronger than ever.
