The Lamar University track and field team was set to get their outdoor season underway at the Rice Opener in Houston on Friday, February 12th, but due to inclement weather in the area and surrounding areas the meet has been canceled.The Cardinals are now scheduled to start their outdoor season on March 19-20 at the Louisiana Classics host by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Events kick off at 3 p.m. on Friday and day two gets underway at 10 a.m. on the 20th.
