The storm that dumped more than 3 inches of rain on Beaumont, Jan. 26, shook a ceiling tile loose in 242 McFaddin-Ward Health Sciences Center.

High winds caused a few of the screws in the gutter to work loose, dislodging the ceiling tile, Vonda Browning, executive assistant to facilities management, said.

"This was nothing of the ordinary in this area," she said.

Browning said that the loose screws had already been tightened and the incident was cleared the night of the incident and new ceiling tile was already in the process of being put in.
