"When people hear the term Trekkie, they usually think geek or nerd. In reality Trekkies are often brilliant thinkers," Andrew Greenberg says before rushing off to another meeting. Andrew is truly a man-about-campus. He's SGA president, a leader of the Young Republicans and is involved in numerous other organizations. Take a trip to Andrew's dorm room, however, and you'll quickly realize that there's a side to him that you would not expect. "Star Trek" posters hang on the walls, while a massive DVD collection lines his desk. Yes, Andrew is a "Trekkie." But he takes no offense at the term. "Science fiction is the only genre of television that has the potential to become ‘Science Fact.' People who dream big are Sci-Fi fans and it's their dreams that often become reality," he says. Andrew is definitely someone who dreams big. Along with his dreams of being a future leader of the free world, Andrew laughs as he also tells of his dreams of being a cast member for a future installment of the "Star Trek" series. "Live long and Prosper," indeed.
